This week, 3Labs Studio in Los Angeles played host to surfers, spinners, swimmers and runners who all modeled the latest collection for Adidas designed by Stella McCartney that celebrates women who embrace variety to challenge their bodies and minds.
To coincide with the strong, sleek clothes, Aveda Artist Frank Rizzieri created two sporty-chic hairstyles that spoke to the vision of the collection. One of these looks is the “Prized Pony,” a soft, touchable ponytail.
“A sleek ponytail is the perfect low maintenance choice for any workout,” Frank said. “We were able to add a little more polish to it by covertly wrapping a piece of hair around the elastic at the nape of the neck.”

The other style is the “Parallel Plaits,” two matching braids on each side of the head.
“We had to create a style that would stay put during a high impact workout,” Frank said. “With a little assistance from Control Force™ Firm Hold Hair Spray we were able to add lasting hold and humidity defense to set the style.”
Leave-in treatment instantly repairs split ends, and helps prevent future splits from forming. Formulated with nangai oil, this powerful treatment attracts the separated ends back together, helping to smooth and seal hair fibers. Repair lasts through your next wash.
